Our Dossier is on it's way to China!

We're DTC! Our dossier went to China yesterday. Now we have a long wait for Travel Approval. The average wait is 79 days from the date our dossier is "logged in" in China. Than takes an average of 20 days. So, my best estimate of travel is sometime in July. I'd love to go in June though, so that Wei Long will have all summer to get used to his new family.

Introduction

Welcome to our family's journey to adopt our son, 7 yr old Wei Long, from Anhui China. Here's a little bit about us.

Our names are Gary & Sharon. We're OLD parents. We have two grown children, a son 30, and a daughter 28. Our daughter is married to a wonderful man and they have a precious little girl who is our only granddaughter. She just turned two.

We also have two sweet little girls who were adopted from China. Julia was adopted first, when she was 2. She's from Yongxiu SWI in Jiangxi. She's 9 now. Eleven year old Lisa, from Changzhou SWI in Jiangsu, was adopted when she was 7 yrs old. They're wonderful children and we love them dearly. But that doesn't mean they're perfect, no one is. We still have our spats just like every other family in the world. I think sometimes parents who are looking to adopt think they will live a storybook life (happily ever after) and it can come as a shock that our little angels have faults just like everyone else.

And we're getting a boy! The girls will be big sisters to 7 yr old Wei Long from Dingyuan SWI in Anhui China. The're so excited, and so are we. Our dossier should go to China on Monday. It is in the hands of our agency, CWA, right now.

I'm not sure when we'll travel, but I'm guessing July.
